AKIKO OKUBO, YUKIKO YAGI, RAJESH MOR | The TSOMORIRI Lifestyle
TSOMORIRI takes its name from a lake on the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh. The nomadic Changpa shepherds herd Tibetan yak, goat, and sheep, maintaining a delicate ecosystem. Their Spartan lifestyle inspires the brand.
On September 6th and 7th, ARTISANS’ launched TSOMORIRI’s apparel collection, designed and curated by Akiko Ookuni in Japan, and made in India using traditional materials and techniques. The lifestyle brand encompasses clothing, dining, and living, in an integral Japanese concept.
The exhibition included Urushi Lacquerware by Yukiko Yagi and specially commissioned Warli painting by Rajesh Mor.
