SMRITI DIXIT | Memory of Red 3
From February 2nd - 10th 2019 ARTISANS’ presented Memory of Red 3, an installation by Smriti Dixit. This spirited assemblage of fibres, fabrics and found objects were sewn, stitched, folded and knotted. Using materials and methods traditionally associated with women’s domestic labour, Dixit bridges art craft and design, and explores her role as an artist-artisan, “working with art and no-art.”
