About the artist:
Kamala Murali is a textile designer based in Chennai, India. She holds a Masters Degree from Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City. She is also a graduate of the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design & Technology in Bangalore. Her brand, ka m b li, designs modern, minimal textiles using remnant fabrics, and offers one-of-a-kind quilts, cushions and more. She also writes about design and craft in India, and is an aspiring textile archivist.Â
