The ‘Koromo’ collection offers one-of-a-kind art to wear! Japanese designer Ryoko Haraguchi's avant garde designs integrate timeless Indian textiles with traditional Japanese techniques.
Using silks, Haraguchi marries techniques of weaving and stitching, with Japanese Itajime and Kaki-shibu persimmon dyeing. The persimmon dye bathes the fabric with a tannin-rich, aged and fermented persimmon extract.
This silk taffeta trousers, are gradation-dyed in a black, overdyed in Kaki-shibu persimmon, and then pintucked by skilled tailors. The ankle length trousers have an elasticated back waist for an ageless but sharp fit! A double-sided shawl in the same fabric is included.
