The Leher square is inspired by the vibrant tie-dye of Rajasthan, which use a diagonal resist technique or ‘Leheriya’.The colours are borrowed from CYMK (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, Black) offset printing, while the printing intentionally emphasizes glitches or errors. This technicolour 'pop' teases the eye with an illusionary shimmer to create a visually arresting piece. It is framed with curlicue borders inspired by painted frescos found at the Madhavendra Palace in Nahargarh, Jaipur.
